FAQ

| Why can't I check some of the topic boxes? For example, the Transportation topic is available only for 2000. |
| We derived most of the data in Data Warehouse from the 2000 Census. We forecast many, but not all, of the same variables
for our 2030 Regional Growth Forecast. And the 2002 Estimates are for a very limited set of variables. We will have many more
variables available for the 2003 Estimates later this year. |
Why don't some 2000 figures for census tracts match the published numbers from the Census Bureau? |
| We began with the 2000 Census as our base. In some parts of the region, however, the Census
assigned population and housing units where they very clearly do not exist (housing units in a freeway median, for example).
In the most obvious instances, we reassigned the units and population to neighboring zones.
The total number of adjustments we made was relatively small and, at higher levels of
aggregation such as jurisdictions, the 100% count numbers (basic population and housing categories) do agree. |
When I choose the spreadsheet output option, I can't seem to save the file on my computer. How can I save the spreadsheet? |
|
After you
press the "Get My Data" button, you're prompted to save or open the file. Choose "save". Once the file is saved on your computer, you
should be able to open it with Excel. Then you can do any edits and formats you like, and save your work. |
