Help

Begin by selecting a geographic type from seven choices. Click on a type choice to see a map of that geographic type.

Then select geographic subunit(s) from the list box. Choose "ALL" to get all subunits listed. Hold down the "Ctrl" key to select multiple subunits.

Next, choose the data topic(s) from the array of check boxes. You may choose as many topics as you wish, although you may find it more manageable to select only one or two at a time. For many topics, multiple years (2000, Current Estimates, and Forecasts) may be selected.

Click on the expansion button (+) next to some topics to reveal more detail about the topic. Click on the topic itself to see the topic's list of variables.

Finally, choose an output option. Most people choose to have the data returned to their web browser ("Display"). If you intend to cut and paste the information into an application such as a word processor, choosing "Text file" as the output option will return a minimal "comma separated value" (CSV) file to your browser. The third option, "Spreadsheet", may be most convenient to MS Office users as it returns the CSV in a form that in most default end-user installations will load as an Excel spreadsheet.

Once you've made all your selections, press the "Get My Data" button.
